Feasibility study and implementation of the technical solution

Project partners:

OMNILINK Services a.s., International Security Institute, z. ú.

Assignment:

The Municipal District of Prague 9 requests the preparation of a feasibility study for the 'NUMERI' project, which falls under the Smart Cities concept in the capital city of Prague and is coordinated by Operátor ICT, a.s. This study will be prepared with regard to the planned implementation of the project in the territory of the Municipal District of Prague 9.

The company VDT Technology a.s. delivered a new intelligent surveillance system including hardware, software, and the necessary software licenses. This system is used for evaluating predefined atypical situations.
Online IMS Functionalities
  • Object flow detection – alarm when an object violates the flow direction (e.g., going in the wrong direction through a one-way door).
  • Detection of people moving in areas designated only for vehicles.
  • Perimeter breach detection – crossing or entering a predefined area.
  • Detection of a person's presence near an area of interest for an extended period of time.
  • Detection of abandoned objects in designated areas.
  • Detection based on recognition parameters.
Offline IMS Functionalities
  • Functionalities for quick image search.
  • Ability to filter video recordings by various attributes.
  • Possibility of recording compression – concentrating visual changes with timestamps into a shortened video record

Project partners:

Mark2 Corporation Czech, a.s., TELMO a.s.

Ústí nad Labem focused on a comprehensive urban surveillance and security system. As part of this project, a total of 23 strategically important locations were selected for the installation of new security cameras, interconnected via a local private 5G network. The system includes new camera points that are part of a fully digital system, enabling efficient 5G signal transmission directly to the operations center of the Municipal Police of Ústí nad Labem.

The implemented camera system is equipped with an extension that enables event detection and evaluation. This technology enhances the ability of the Municipal Police of Ústí nad Labem to monitor and maintain safety in public spaces, providing better protection for citizens.

Complete delivery of the individual components of the advanced camera system
  • Management and coordination of deliveries of analytical software for image analysis.
  • Delivery of the required high-performance hardware.
  • Technologies used included the CertiConVis software for camera systems and BriefCam technology for video summarization, which enables analysis of recordings from multiple cameras simultaneously.
Technical partner

on behalf of the city and responsible for technical supervision of the entire implementation of the private 5G network and smooth delivery of analytical software was the city technology and ICT administrator – Metropolnet a.s.
